The gods were on our side — we couldn’t have picked a better May weekend for a trip to Aphrodite’s birth island, Cyprus. No fewer than 70 of Hotelium’s top-performing members enjoyed the Mediterranean sunshine from Thursday, May 8, to Sunday, in the lovely resort town of Ayia Napa.
We took over the comfortable family-run Corfu Hotel, where the owners hosted us warmly and thoroughly, complete with a traditional welcome drink and excellent food.
One morning, the CEO led an intense two-hour training session with a review of the past twelve months. The results are outstanding: HTL rose from €4.06 to €6.20, we paid out €234,127 in Loyalty rewards and €431,484 in network bonuses. The network welcomed 39 new Platinums, 24 Rubies, 11 Sapphires, and 4 Emeralds.
The rest of the three days were, of course, filled with sunbathing, swimming, evening parties, promenade strolls, and the highlight — a boat trip to the Turkish side of the island. We had a phenomenal time and definitely didn’t go unnoticed, as HTL-branded towels and shirts were everywhere, drawing curious questions about this energetic, high-spirited group. Cyprus, we will miss you!
